WBMD 2017 - Procedural Shading with Cycles

Hello, everybody!

You're probably familiar with WBMD (World Blender Meetup Day). If you're not, you're missing big time! This online event unites a bunch of Blender User Groups from around the world and all of them share knowledge and works for 24 hours in a row. VISIT THE OFFICIAL SITE for more information and full time table. Keep reading for information about my talk.

PROCEDURAL SHADING WITH CYCLES

Last year I made a presentation sharing some tips about shading with Cycles (you can watch the video HERE). This year I will be diving deeper in the Cycles waters, and we'll see some interesting workflow to quickly shade and render complex models (like the one you can see below).

We'll start exploring some interesting tips and tricks to use for shading with Cycles and after that we'll get into it and shade completely the robot model using almost 100% procedural and automatic shaders that would adapt to any model. Can you imagine texturing and shading such a high definition model in less than an hour? You'll see how in the presentation :D

The model was created by Antonio Arroyo, one of the students of my Spanish hard-surface modeling course.

I'll be presenting on Saturday, March 18th from 14:00 to 15:00 UTC, and from 7:00am to 8:00am PST (Los Angeles time - Convert to your city HERE).

If you don't want to miss it, subscribe to my mailing list (if you haven't already) and I'll send you a reminder when it's time ;)

I hope to see you there, and of course, that you enjoy it :)
