More Grease Pencil 2.0! - not your average annotation tool anymore

In the upcoming Blender 2.78, we'll get our hands on Grease Pencil 2.0. It's been evolving a lot lately, and recently has been added to trunk, which means that we'll be able to do crazy things with Grease Pencil soon (you can do them already with development versions of Blender):

  • Fill Shapes
  • Edit GP Strokes as if they were meshes
  • Adjust the width of lines and draw using your pen's pressure
  • Better stroke quality
  • Control different stroke effects
  • Use improved GP Layers
  • Render GP strokes in a separate Pass
  • Rig GP strokes using an armature (this one rocks!!)
In this image you can see different strokes effects available with the new Grease Pencil

Here you have a video showing some really cool features of the new Grease Pencil: not your average annotation tool anymore, huh? :D
